First let me say how much it amazes to have something so aesthetically flawless perform so impeccably. The bike effortlessly handles every aspect of urban riding. Before now I would not have thought an inanimate object could be capable of intuition, and yet except for sublime no word better captures my experience thus far more than intuitive. Like the countless testimonials say, your team achieved perfection.

A big and heartfelt thank you for the amazing bike you and the team at Firefly created for me. From the initial inquiry, to visiting your shop earlier this year for the fitting, to seeing the update photos as you and the team built the bike… the entire journey and experience was great. I really appreciate the entire team’s service focus, craftsmanship and attention to detail.
As you said, the bike is even better in person. The photos were amazing, but having the bike in front of you, seeing the way the anodizing on the brushed and blasted surfaces catches the light is quite special. I was out riding the bike on the weekend, and it rides like a dream. The handling is inspiring and it is a real pleasure to ride… it is everything I hoped for. I am really looking forward to taking some trips and exploring some places with it.

It’s always a good sign when the first ride on a new bike feels like the 1,000th ride. No getting used to anything. I think you nailed the cockpit measurements and positioning. Handling is amazing.

In a word, the Firefly is a revelation: the handling is nimble and responsive (no more toe overlaps!), I’m able to rail around corners with confidence, and getting (and staying!) on the drops is no longer an ordeal.  I’ve come to expect Ti to be a super light material, yet I’m still surprised at how remarkably it climbs.  As for the usual suspects describing Ti’s ride quality: stiff, responsive, and comfy — yep, all true.  Taken together, these are stellar qualities that I would have never expected to find on a single bike.

And then there’s the process of getting the Firefly itself.  First, there’s the sheer craftsmanship involved with building the frame: the welds are stunning and the tube surfacing with anodized bits are awesome to see in person.  The custom tech with the dropouts and CS yoke has sparked many conversations with my fellow bike nerds in the office.  Most notable, the time you kindly spent going over frame numbers has instilled an appreciation for bike geometry and fit: that finding those numbers can be done methodically without needing a pro fitter or fancy jig. 

I went out on my first ride today on the new bike – LOVED IT!
I was a little anxious starting off not knowing how it was going to feel after all of the planning and anticipation. But the anxiety melted away very quickly. The ride was smooth, comfortable, and fast. The bike had a really solid feel, everything fit together and worked perfectly, and the bike fit was perfect.

I picked my bike up on Saturday – and YES, it’s AMAZING!!! I put it together in about 3 minutes and immediately jumped on it and took it out for a fast 55km ride at 32F. Fits like a glove. Thanks for all of you attention to detail, I’ll be marveling over it for weeks! The three of you make something that is so technically complex seem so simple – I’ve been amazed at that from the beginning of this process. Thanks again.

It really is the best thing and I’m so happy with how everything turned out. I couldn’t have asked for a better bike! It was definitely worth the wait! Everything about my bike is just outstanding and love it more after every ride. I truly appreciate all of your work.

So happy with it. So well balanced for climbing in and out the saddle. Descends the parkway at 40 with ease. Chews up Grade 2/3 gravel at 20-25 mph like cheerios. Fit, layout, components are all perfect.

I just thought I would check back in since I have been riding the bike for about a month and a half, just to let you know that I really love it. Love the frame, the fork, the Rohloff, the brakes, the grips, and the saddle. Everything I wanted has worked out well, and everything you recommended is great. Thanks for an exceptional bike. I like it so much, and because I live in a condo, I am trying to figure out how to downsize all of my other bikes!

I am absolutely humbled by the bike! It looks amazing, and rides even better. As far as the fit goes, the bike feels like a good old friend, like we have been riding together for many seasons, not just two rides. As far as the handling is concerned: thus far it seems excellent, very responsive and quick input with steering, and wonderful fast and stiff acceleration when sprinting – I was very happy to realize that it handles like a true road bike (which is exactly what I wished for with this bike). I feel like there is no better road/gravel bike out there for me.

Just wanted to say thanks for building an absolutely great ride for me. Honestly I was a bit apprehensive going into this process since I have always had a chance to test ride whatever I was buying, but in this case I was flying blind. Needless to say all my fears have been put to rest.

Last weekend I got to take the bike out for its first proper ride. It was a 40mi/4500ft ride which had some 14% stretches, some great technical descents and a flat section with not so great pavement. The bike handled all of these with aplomb. The frame was stiff without being uncomfortable and plenty compliant over the rough loose gravel sections without feeling slow.

I was chasing a feeling from another Ti bike I owned years ago. I wasn’t sure that to expect.  I can say with sincerity that I have never felt more comfortable and or had a smoother ride. I won’t say its easy, but climbing feels so much smoother and efficient. I feel faster with a smoother pedal stroke. The frame is a beautiful object on its own, but the ride quality is something I have never experienced. I am super happy and looking to all the miles ahead.  Thank you for the time during the fitting/design and please pass along my thanks to the entire crew of truly gifted wizards who brought it all to life.

The fit is perfect – I’ve done a little of everything including trails that aren’t meant for drop bar bikes. I felt comfortable on everything. I touched nothing on the setup and it’s been great.

Besides the perfect fit, I’ve enjoyed riding the bike and getting to understand how it rides. I can tell I’m not riding any of my other bikes for a long time!

I just wanted to share how much I absolutely love my bike—it’s everything I hoped for and more! It has far exceeded my expectations, and I genuinely enjoy every moment I spend riding it. On my very first ride, I actually started laughing out loud because I couldn’t believe how perfect it felt. It brings so much joy! It’s buttery smooth, the handling is flawless, and it just motivates me to ride more and more. Been riding a lot getting ready for the Haleakala climb this summer. It’s truly a work of art that I cherish.

My Firefly is equal parts art and science, an object of beauty. The bike is undoubtedly a head turner, more so than any other I have ever ridden. Beyond it’s stunning details, this bike really goes; it just feels like I’ve magically become a better cyclist, and it is easily the best bike I have ever ridden. I was almost scared on my first bridge descent because it feels so fast, but I was quickly put at ease by the super crisp handling and amazingly forgiving shock absorption of the titanium, despite its stiffness.

Just wrapped up my one year maintenance on my Firefly.

In addition to being a joy to ride, all the maintenance has been such a pleasure. Everything is just so precise and straight forward. I am able to follow directions well and everything was just so easy.

This bike is absolute perfection, every detail is so spot on. I love the low bottle mounts, the fact that I can shoulder the bike with bottles on, NO TOE OVERLAP, the third bottle clears the inner chain ring, I can climb out of the saddle without banging my knees on the bag, and the front end somehow doesn’t flop around when standing which is a miracle compared to all of my bikes with porteur racks. And I can ride with no hands with the rack/bag! I feel like all of my minor gripes with every single one of my other bikes has been solved.

The handling is so intuitive, I came down the Blue Hills access road chicane like I’d been riding the bike for years, it feels so planted and stable but also very responsive and plush in a way I never imagined. I am totally and completely delighted with this bike, beyond what I had imagined.

It’s easy to put miles on this bike, even with the wet weather that we’ve had. I’ve heard a lot about how comfortable titanium bikes are — and that’s certainly true — but what’s really impressive is just how planted the bike feels. Even on wet pavement or in windy conditions the bike still feels glued to the road, which inspires a lot of confidence on descents and whenever the going gets fast. It’s like have all the speed from a carbon race bike, but none of the twitchiness. As a result, I ride a lot faster this year and am enjoying my time on the road a whole lot more.

It’s also pretty cool that any time I run into anyone who knows about welding, as happened this past weekend, they immediately start drooling over the impeccably clean welds.

I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying my new ride! Again, thank you for all of your assistance and patience throughout the design process. The attention to detail and skill of you and your team is impeccable!

Just wanted to thank you for the amazing job you and your team did on the bike. Not only is it beautiful, but it fits me perfect. Also the wheel set up us amazing. I never would have gone with the tire selection or those wheels but boy was it just what I needed for my multiuse cycling life. It literally does everything. Very glad I came up to Boston for the fitting. It really helped zero in on what I wanted. You guys exceeded expectations in all areas. Best of luck in the future. I just want to tell you that the bike is a dream to ride and to thank you, again, for taking all the care you took to put together a bike so perfectly tuned to what I need. Riding it is like having wheels as extensions of my body–its balance and responsiveness are amazing. And it flies! Well, ok, maybe not, but it seems to.

The bike is perfect.

When I ride I don’t want to think about the tech, geometry or the data… I want to look up and just ride. Hold the line in the hairpin, bridge the gap in the sprint, climb the mountain. FF1483 allows all of that and more.
I’m very thankful to have ‘1483’ – I also view it as art, and like all masterpieces I know that riders beyond my time will toss a leg over that top tube, look down the road and experience what I do… pure perfection.

I Took the bike out for its first voyage today. Holy crap!!! I love it! It’s absolutely amazing!!! It’s soooo comfortable, fast and responsive. It’s so much lighter than the IF. You guys did an amazing job back then building that, but this bike is going to change everything. It really blows me away.

Bike worked like a dream in Vietnam/Cambodia. Roads were quite rough in spots; the setup was perfect. I noticed how well I rolled on downhills (with no pedaling) versus others. Fit is perfect.

The biggest thing I noticed was: it fits and feels so perfectly for me. This was the most nerve wracking part of buying a bike I couldn’t test ride. But everything came out so perfect. I didn’t even know this was possible. Somehow the bike feels very planted – yet still so responsive / nimble. the wind gusts didn’t budge me at all – but when I wanted to turn, it was instant.

Road chatter is big time reduced. like I can feel bumps but they aren’t jarring.
Everything is just beyond perfect. my reach for the drops is so comfy. Even things like getting my water bottle are comfy.

Anyway, it’s an honor to have one of your masterpieces. I beyond love it and it’ll be ridden a ton.

It’s been about a year since I received my Firefly and I could not be happier. The bike is everything I hoped it would be and more. It’s fast and stable on both the road and gravel. It accelerates beautifully and is nimble on the CX course. I commonly refer to it as “The one bike to rule them all!” You guys are amazing and I am so thankful to be able to ride such a wonderful machine. The compliments I receive are endless.

I am fortunate to have a few other custom bikes – both titanium and steel – and I only point that out to offer comparison to the Firefly. My Firefly is the bike I always want to ride. There’s just something about how it feels and responds that makes me want to ride it. So, thank you and please pass my gratitude on to the rest of the FF crew.

But the bigger thanks go to you and the team for this incredible bike I’ve been riding for the past couple of weeks. To say that it’s night and day doesn’t begin to cover it. I’m not sure I’m a better rider on it (I mean, the engine hasn’t changed), but I’m absolutely a happier rider. Someone said to me at one point that the whole point of getting on a bike like this is you hop on it, start riding and for no particular reason you find yourself breaking out in in a big stupid grin. Originally, I was nervous that because I had such high expectations the bike would not live up to it. However, I was wrong.The ride quality is SUBLIME beyond my expectations. Not sure if I have any better word to describe the sensation.

All the road buzz is so well-absorbed that every ride feels like a “buttery smooth magic carpet ride.”

Steering geometry is really awesome with a good mixture of responsiveness and stability. Together the whole bike flows so well in and out of each turn. Wherever I point the front-end at the rear-end will just follow directly. This is super nice on trails as I navigate around obstacles/choosing lines.

The fit is spot on as well. All the contact points are super comfortable.

It is one thing to read that titanium frames provide a soft ride, and another to experience it. I have ridden my Colnago for more than five years, so the only way I had known my local roads had been through it. Yesterday I felt as if I was somewhere else, as the road vibrations felt completely different, and my ride was smoother and more fluid. On the first descents I wondered why I was going faster and then I realized it was because I felt so much safer. Going downhill has been a big issue for me, and I am really grateful that you have helped me change this. When I rode uphill, I felt the bike responded to all the strength I was exerting. I am at loss of words, but I feel my FF is agile, smooth and reliable. I know I have the best bike for me, one that I will take care of and love for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for making this possible.

Got the bike built up and have done two solid rides on it. I am speechless, what an incredible experience. I’ve owned probably close to 100 bikes over the years and this is without question the best. Thanks for everything and I can’t wait to put more miles on it.

Just wanted to let you know I’m absolutely loving the bike! It’s helped me rediscover my love for cycling.

I got it Monday, built it Tuesday, rode it Wednesday and now I’m fourteen hours into my new Firefly. The word I used to describe the bike to a friend was balance. Where I am on the frame, the relationship of the front center of the bike to the back plus the lower bottom bracket and A to C makes this bike like no other I have ridden. It is amazing!

I’ve watched a lot of cyclocross. That thing riders do racing cyclocross where they “steer with the saddle” by moving the bike over to miss a rut or find a line and then let their bodies catch up to the new position of the bike is what this bike has in spades. Yes, it climbs super well. Yes, descends great and carves a high speed arc. But it is so balanced and coherent feeling it is shocking.

Today is the 2-year anniversary of the delivery of my Firefly. I wanted to let you know that I still absolutely love my bike. It’s got about 6800 miles on it and has been to Colorado, New York, and Tennessee (in addition to here in Texas of course). I’ve changed out a couple parts due to fit and wear but otherwise it might as well be brand new. I especially like how it handles rough roads. I’m not sure how or why, but it has unquestionably made me a better rider.

I’ve now completed my first decent-ish 100km mixed surface ride and it’s fair to say I’m blown away. So nimble, chuckable, responsive, lively and FAST, but also stable sure-footed and very comfortable – or to put that into British English, the fucking dogs bollocks!

Feels like a comfortable fast road bike that is also amazing off road, taking the best traits of my Super Six and Enigma to a whole other level.

I’ve been out for a handful of rides on the new bike. It’s a pretty wild experience. I think the bike is actually perfect. Every bike I’ve ever had, something was off, and I just lived with it. This bike feels strange, cause everything is so awesome and I think maybe even perfect. What a thing. Thanks a million for all the back and forth dialing it in.

Okay, one last time, this is the best bike in every respect possible. It is comfortable, it is smooth, it corners like it is on rails and it is the Bat Bike. It does everything perfectly. I can’t remember the last time I could not wait to go for a ride. Everyday is Christmas morning and I am a kid with a new bike. Thank you for listening to what I wanted and building the perfect bike.

I am so happy I found Firefly for my forever bicycle. Their attention to detail is outstanding. The welds are nearly invisible, the finish is perfectly uniform, and every single bolt was torqued exactly to spec. Their willingness to accommodate customer requests truly puts them above and beyond the big box brands who seem to adopt more of a “you get what you get” mentality. I really can’t recommend them enough. I have a feeling this will not be my last bike from them.

FF1236 doesn’t fit, sound, or look like any other eBike I’ve tried. It is simply the best eBike I have ever been on and I’m so happy this super fun bike is mine.

Ascents, descents and rough as guts coarse-chip roads. The bike was superb. I’ve never felt so confident descending and the reduction in road buzz was very noticeable.

I’ve had other bikes along the way but will always keep my Firefly. I was riding it this morning and was appreciating just how beautiful it is to ride. I’m no pro cyclist and even I can tell the difference between my Firefly and my other bikes (my other bikes are also high end bikes – but not custom). It brings a smile to my face every time I ride it. More so than any other bike I’ve owned.

I don’t know of any other company (even outside the bike industry, definitely not even Apple) where the personalized relationship between the company and customer nears what it means to be a Firefly customer (dare I say family?!) It’s cool? Even Jeff Bezos “customer obsession” has nothing on this Firefly Bicycles team?

My Firefly is the fourth bespoke bike I have had made and has, by a large margin, brought me the most joy. Each and every ride I take, despite my aging legs and lungs, has brought a smile to my face.

I genuinely can’t think of any other bike I’d rather have. The ride quality and fit have been particular improvements from my previous stock bikes and titanium as a material has been a revelation. Since taking delivery in early 2015 it has taken me to France, Italy, Mallorca and lots of riding around Sydney. This year it will be with me for two weeks in the French Alps so plenty of quality roads to give it the kms it deserves.

In short and as expected, it is quite amazing. I’m turning 40 this year and my Firefly is really a culmination of a lifetime spent riding. It’s a perfect blend of everything I was hoping it would do it terms of comfort, handling, power, etc.. The build with SRAM AXS is a perfect combination for how I want this bike to function and so far it’s been great. The craftsmanship is also phenomenal so please pass my thanks along to the rest of the Firefly crew.

It rides like nothing I’ve ever experienced, even a short ride on flat and smooth tarmac was enough to tell that the bike has a perfect blend of ride quality and stiffness. I had really high expectations of the frameset and it met those with flying colors!

The bike is unbelievable. You guys really delivered in every way possible. I love the solid and connected feel. The geometry is only slightly different than my R3, but it is incredible how much more comfortable it is. I knocked out a three hour ride the other weekend and got off the bike feeling like I only rode half that time.

I was finally able to take my Firefly out this past weekend. It was a dream. I love the way it rides and like I told my wife, it feels like it was built for me, which of course it was. It’s amazing how well you were able to translate requirements and design into a reality. Please pass along my thanks to the entire Firefly team.

I love my bike! I rode it this morning for about 45 minutes before the rains came, up a couple of very steep hills and on very bumpy roads. It is so easy and comfortable. It has a surprisingly short turning radius and in some ways is as nimble as my road bike, but yet feels so solid. It is great.

The bike is beyond great. It feels like I have been riding the bike for many years. No soreness or stiffness that often comes when changing bikes furthermore I have less fatigue in the lower back and arms after a long ride, I only noticed I use my upper legs (thigh muscles) more than on previous bikes. It handles and responses like I want to, thus I am way more confident to take ‘sharp’ turns. And overall it feels like it easier to get to and maintain a higher speed than before. And it still looks great too 😉

A huge thank you for building a beautiful steed once again, that performed fantastically at DK. I’ve never really ridden trails before and had to learn on the fly, but the bike made it all so easy to adapt to the unfamiliar conditions. I was able to ride sections of downhill gravel at speeds approaching 60 kph and it felt rock solid.

The bike you guys built for me is amazing. Very stiff BB without sacrificing ride quality. Has very little to no road vibration. Handling is spot on too. Exceeded expectations! Everything about it is spot on!

I love the nimble handling, solid cornering and general supremely comfy ride feel. Chipseal is a non-issue.  Acceleration is immediate. The gearing took me up 14% grades with no problem. And no toe overlap!!! 

My bike is absolutely outstanding, both in terms of looks and performance. It is astounding how good it feels in terms of handling and how it just rolls over everything. I am really, really happy.

This is more like a Ferrari than an all-around racing Land Rover like before, but there’s a motor in there somewhere and it feels PERFECT! Climbs comfortably, descends confidently and nimbly, and is responsive and stable. What a bike!!

It displays the unique ability to be fun regardless of where I’m riding, seeming to transform to whatever bike I need: On pavement it feels like a fast, sporty road bike. On a dirt road it feels like a race worthy gravel bike. On easy singletrack it morphs into a rigid mountain bike!

No other bike I have tried matches this shape-shifting versatility. The FF997 is always the right bike. That’s why it’s fantastic.

FF has created the Dream Ti/Carbon bike to remind me that you should not set yourself any limits besides the physical ones whilst imagining your dream. No matter which ideas I might have had, FF went beyond my dreams to best implement them.

I love my Firefly. The thing RIPS. It’s the best bike I’ve ridden.

The bike fits me perfectly, and it is very pleasant indeed to ride. The place where I have noticed the excellent handling the most is on fast descents on gravel. I feel completely confident of what the bike will do, and I feel no insecurity.

What can I say… Love the ride. Fits like a glove, stiff rear triangle but still comfy, perfectly balanced, beautiful lively ride, and is both stable and responsive. And so quiet too. No creaky carbon or pingy aluminium noises – I think that acoustic quality in a frame is under-rated. I had a custom made steel race bike when I was a lad in the 80s, and this is the first of many bikes since that feels just right. Could not be better, my dream bike.

A quick note to say that the bike is built and tested over 80 cold and rainy English ks at the weekend. The ride was fantastic – geometry is spot on, it’s v stable and compliant with a bit more zip than I expected from ti. I did a few 1000+ watt sprints and and felt super stuff also. Lots of admiration from my riding buddies. It’s perfect for what I want so a big thanks you to you and the team.

First the bike is beautiful. Had to clean off a lot of drool from the guys at the shop. They loved your attention to detail and quality. I spent 2.5 hours on it yesterday and the ride was amazing. Quick and stiff while still soaking up road chatter. It had the titanium buzz and lively feel I had been missing. It cornered better than anything I have ever ridden. I can’t wait to descend the North Carolina mountains. The only problem was it was so much fun that I went too hard and was dead last night.
